“Dear PoPville,

Wanted to ask if anyone knows of any bars that are resuming in-person pub trivia. Been looking forward to getting back into this activity now that things are opening up, but I haven’t seen it available yet.”

In addition to Nanny’s (above) Trusty’s (1420 Pennsylvania Ave SE) also has trivia on Tuesdays. Anyone know if trivia is back at Solly’s (11th and U St, NW)? Other spots back in action?

“Dear PoPville,

I had a question to the masses that I wasn’t able to get answered through my online sleuthing. I’m going on a trip away from DC and currently have my car parked on the street (legally). Since I won’t be here to move my car for street sweeping days, I’m concerned that I’ll be ticketed while I’m away. Curious if there are areas within DC that I can park my car at without it getting ticketed for street parking.”

A reader went to a non-DC location for their first Pfizer Covid vaccine and their second at the convention center. They received a bill for $83 from GW for their second shot and were curious if this has happened to anyone else?

Ed. Note: As we were reminded earlier this morning, the COVID-19 vaccine is free so definitely get yours if you haven’t already (also get $51 too!)

“Dear PoPville,

I know Arlington doesn’t normally make it on to your radar, but Whitlow’s (originally a DC joint!) closed down last night (Saturday) and I am pining to know where all the friends I was packed in with are headed next weekend.

In particular, Sarah – you were right, (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

My partner and I are going on vacation for 12 days. There is a middle school-aged kid who lives down the hall from us, and I was thinking of asking her to water our plants for us while we’re gone. (I went through the plant phase of quarantine in a big way) How much should I offer to pay her? I was thinking $50 but I don’t know if that is too cheap in 2021!”

Thanks to a neighbor for passing on from nextdoor about a parking space in the alley between Rodman and Porter Street, NW:

“He tried to block the corner with a cone but the cone didn’t stay in place – now he has glued down small nails. Where kids ride bikes. Watch your tires, watch your kids.”
