“Dear PoPville,

I’ve been stuck at my transfer station for over 20 minutes — I’m going to miss a meeting because it will take me an hour and fifteen minutes to go less than 5 miles.

I really really want to support public transit but the time tables are wrong, the trains are constantly late, and it’s so unpredictable I don’t know if I can keep using it for work. Are things going to get better? Can anyone talk me out of buying a vehicle?

Ed. Note: Yesterday we posted about the upcoming retirement of WMATA General Manager and CEO Paul J. Wiedefeld.

“Dear PoPville,

I want to give a shout-out to the kind strangers that checked on me yesterday after I tripped on a run in Ledriot Park and absolutely ate pavement (sprained my ankle). “Dear PoPville,

“Dear PoPville,

I recently had my bike stolen out of my garage–which I’d normally forget about (I’ve had many stolen, even when locked with the best of locks. It’s just DC life) except that it still appears to have an AirTag on it. It’s been at least two weeks and the AirTag still appears to be moving so I’m guessing it just hasn’t been noticed. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

Help! Do you happen to know who is overseeing Cabi in our region and have any means to contact a real, live person (in the region)?

Calls to the Cabi number now go to Lyft support in Guatemala. Customer service for Cabi used to be fantastic. Now, it is run by a call in service that has no ability/authority to fix a problem. They simply listen to the customer and agree that there is reason to be frustrated. (more…)
