“I’m not sure if this man has encountered anyone else in the NE DC community but he should be avoided”

“Dear PoPville,

I just experienced a pretty terrifying and dangerous situation in NE DC and I want to safely let others know about it.

I first encountered this man (black male/bald/facial scarring) in Ivy City (Okie Street). I saw him walking up to his car (Toyota Yaris or Corolla/Bluish-Gray color), and assumed he was moving, and waited so I could take his spot once he moved off. He was standing by his trunk for a while, so I decided to ask if he was planning on staying before moving on to find another spot. I pulled up to him and asked, he immediately started yelling very angrily at me. I was totally shocked and scared by his reaction and sped off to get away from him. I found a spot, and sat there for a while, I was still scared by the intensity of his reaction. I saw him eventually pull off, he saw my car and started yelling again. That was the end of the interaction.

Today [Monday] I was driving on South Dakota Ave NE, behind a car. It slowed down, and then went to the right lane and seemed to be turning into the Sunoco gas station. However, the car pulled up to me window to window and I realized there was a man yelling at me with the window down. Upon seeing his face, I realized it was the same man from a couple months ago and became frightened because I now know that he is subject to unwarranted anger. He continues to yell and has one hand out of the window reaching toward my car. Eventually he pulls off and stops at the red light. I see his trunk pop and watch him get out of his car, taking off his coat and going toward the open trunk and I pull off out of fear of what he would do next. I’m not sure if this man has encountered anyone else in the NE DC community but he should be avoided if seen and please be aware if you encounter him to stay alert.

Metro PD could not take any action without a plate number, however I would love for people to be aware of this man or if they’ve had an encounter with him to report him.”

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
