Seeing how as DC has the highest incidence per capita, and is now offering a vaccine, I was thinking it might be interesting to know how many people actually went to try to get a vaccine and if they were able to get one or got turned away or what the lines were like etc.“

More and more I see new house rehabs in DC install floating staircases like the one that is attached. They look great! Any advice on contractors that can do this type of work in the DC area?”

Just wanted to write in and let you know DCRA is flexing its incompetent muscles again and inexplicably classified a chunk of occupied homes in DC as vacant properties. They then didn’t notify the homeowners and then let us all find out through OTR with our second half 2022 property tax payments. A lot of people opened the mail on 8/8 to $20,000+ half year property tax bills on homes that typically have $2-4k half year bills.
When we contacted DCRA , the person said “yeah, we’ve been getting a lot of calls about this today.” (more…)

We’re hoping someone can provide an update about a dog-related incident Sunday in Rock Creek Park. My husband was hiking when he heard dogs barking and a woman screaming. A pit bull was attacking her dog and she was trying to separate them. My husband ran across the creek and managed to hold back the pittie, which enabled the woman to chase after her dog, who had bolted. (more…)
