“Dear PoPville,

In light of the PSA you shared on 1/13/23, I wanted to let you know that my lock box was broken into on 1/17/23 (possibly 1/16/23). The plastic on the facade was cracked open (somehow), keys removed & MIA, and shoved full with toilet paper?! My lock box was a generic brand. Notably, my neighbors’ MasterLock lock boxes appear to be untouched. Don’t know if that really means anything but I will be upgrading!”

“Dear PoPville,

My family has lived in our rowhouse for ten years. Recently, new neighbors moved in next door. “Dear PoPville,

As a huge fan of E Street Cinema, I was so happy that they made it through Covid. I am now THRILLED that their online booking system supports seat reservations. Choose your seat and have no fear getting to the theater right at the last minute! Sit exactly where you want to sit! It’s wonderful stuff. Support this DC gem.”

“Dear PoPville,

A neighbor’s car alarm constantly goes off every few hours to no avail. The vehicle is current on tags and the vehicle also runs because it’s moved on almost a daily basis – but always parked in the general area along 5th/Kennedy. This has been going on since late November.

Not sure who to call about it – not as easy as calling for an abandoned car in an alley- hoping someone else might have suggestions?”

“Dear PoPville,

Can the community recommend places to walk or hike to enjoy fog? The places where it collects the most and lingers the longest? Does not need to be within city limits. I just love the mystery and magic of fog, plus I want to remind a dear friend of mine of the monsoon season hikes he used to take in his country of origin. (more…)
