I’m a small-time landlord of a studio apartment in NW DC. I bought the studio for myself in 2018 and it was my dream apartment, so when I moved in with my now-fiancé I was looking forward to renting it out to someone who would (hopefully) love the space as much as I have. It was the first apartment that was all mine and I’m a sentimental person, so it meant a lot to trust someone else living in it.

My 1st/current tenant is the absolute worst and owes 3 months of rent and late fees outlined in the lease agreement. (more…)

I live in a rowhouse (about 90 years old), and my neighbor is set to begin replacing a sewer line in their basement. I was wondering if the jackhammering could put my foundation at risk. Should I try to do anything beforehand? Is my neighbor inherently responsible for anything that could go on with my home? Any info is appreciated!”

saw this hybrid Toyota SUV up on these on our walk this morning – from a distance I thought it was just a bad wheel upgrade – on Newton near Brown in MtP. All 4 wheels. I’m strongly assuming wheel theft but the upgrade from plastic crates is interesting.”

Guni wheels are used for moving a car around a body shop or garage. not driving on roads. (more…)
