“Dear PoPville,

I walked by the newly opened the Joint Chiropractor in Columbia Heights. They were giving away “free adjustments” which sounded great! I signed up the next day, which was last Friday. I didn’t have to work so I figured I would stroll in and receive a free adjustment (they heavily advertise walk-ins). As soon as I signed up– (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

I’m looking for a bar that has a private space that can be rented out to hold about 40-60 people. Ideally, we’d love to keep the space reservation/clean up fee low (we can guarantee a BIG bartender tip). Not sure what bars have spaces/floors that can be rented out for a party. Ideas?”

“Dear PoPville,

My partner (a native Spanish speaker) is currently looking for a psychologist in the DMV. I know she can’t be the only one looking for a psychologist conversant in her native language. Does anyone have recommendations for a Spanish-speaking psychologist, preferably in the District? Bonus points if they take insurance! Thank you.”

At this time, DCPL hasn’t announced the availability of any interim services for our community. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

I have a bit of an odd request I’m hoping someone might be able to help with. During a move last year, my late grandmother’s marbletop coffee table was broken. I’m hoping to have the marble pieces carved into coasters that I can give to all of my Nonny’s children and grandchildren.

I’ve tried everything I can think of (more…)

I’ve seen a few of these knocked over before, but never snapped in half like a pencil. In case you ever wondered what the inside of a DC street lamp looked like, now you know. (more…)

Anyone with info please email me at [email protected] and I’ll pass on/connect you with OP.

“Dear PoPville,

I’m in desperate need of help and/or advice. This weekend my wedding dress got stolen out of my car. It was not parked on the street, it was in the parking lot of the building where I live on 14th Street and Randolph. I have filed a police report and a claim with my home owners insurance but am feeling helpless, especially since the wedding is less than 2 months away. (more…)

Ed. Note: Don’t let a little construction out front dissuade you and head straight to Nanny’s (3319 Connecticut Avenue, NW) next Friday!! (or your closest Irish or Irish-ish pub!)

“Dear PoPville,

Are there any St. Patrick’s Day celebrations hosted in DC? I am assuming the pubs will have music, but are there any organized events? Which weekend will they occur on, since St. Paddy’s is on a Friday this year.”

From the The St. Patrick’s Parade Committee:

“We look forward to gathering and celebrating with all of you on March 12th! (more…)
