“Award-winning chef Michael Schlow, owner and operator of TICO on DC’s 14th Street corridor, and The Riggsby in the Carlyle Hotel in Dupont Circle, will soon bring his popular Italian restaurant, Alta Strada to Mt. Vernon Square’s City Vista development at 465 K Street, NW. The 3,900 square foot space, designed by Brian Miller of Edit Lab at Streetsense, will also feature a separate crudo bar. KBC (11th and Park Rd, NW): “Get drunk, stay off the roads, teledrink instead of telework. We do have WiFi if people want to pretend to work. Open at noon”

Purple Patch ( 3155 Mt Pleasant St NW): “open today starting at 1 pm and will be having happy hour until 8 pm and will be open for brunch Saturday and Sunday.”

“Funky New York pizza chain Two Boots is headed to D.C., with its first area location planned for H Street NE. The pizzeria, which offers a fusion of New Orleans and Italian fare, aims to open in May at 1025 H St. NE”

“Named after the 1930s collaborative play written by Langston Hughes and Zora Neale Hurston, Mulebone, Washington’s newest restaurant will open February 12th 2016. Located on 14th Street’s restaurant row, Mulebone will feature a new chef, mixologist, speakeasy, and vintage store.
