Republic Cantina has finally soft opened (ish)!!!!! Thanks to Jonathan for teasing us this morning with these photos:

“Signs now up for The Roost and Show of Hands at the Blackbird construction site!”

Washington CityPaper reported:

“Nick Farrell will lead the first bar to take shape in the 12,500-square-foot space, Show of Hands. You’ve tasted his cocktails at Iron Gate and Hazel.

Within The Roost, NRG will compliment Show of Hands with a beer bar from Greg Engert, plus a host of eateries.”

Ed. Note: I stopped by to get these photos yesterday and it was the biggest emergency response I have ever seen. These photos don’t do justice to how many responders where there. There were at least two ladder truck, 3 or 4 pumper trucks, multiple police cars, and other fire department vehicles.
