“Dear PoPville,
This is sad. These three businesses on Fesseden all got broken into last night. Glass doors all shattered. The Coffee Nature guy said nothing but spare change was stolen. All the businesses are cleaning up and really sad. The police just left. I was there when the workers at Sol Mexican Grill showed up for work to find the police in front of their restaurant. Pretty sad to see them just stand there staring at the door.”

The placard says: “The establishment will be a restaurant serving classic sandwiches as well as some more substantial dishes. Total Occupancy Load of 70 with seating for 50, to include a Sidewalk Café with 10 seats.”
Fight Club opened here May 10th:
“initial opening hours will be Monday through Friday from 11 AM to 4 PM for full-service dining, carryout and delivery via DoorDash, Caviar and GrubHub.”

15th and P Street, NW
Yesterday we learned that a Planta was confirmed coming to the West End. Now a reader sends some scuttlebutt that:
“apparently they are putting in a Planta in the former Phillips on P/15. Menu seems pretty good.”
Phillips Seafood and Street Carts opened here (15th and P) in June 2019 and closed in November 2020. Tortilla Coast closed here back in 2017. Prior to Tortilla Coast this prime space was home to McCormick Paints.
