From an email:

“El Tamarindo, Washington D.C.’s legendary Salvadoran and Mexican restaurant, marks National Pupusa Day Sunday, November 13th with an all-day celebration done in partnership with the D.C. Mayor’s Office on Latino Affairs.

We’ve partnered with Taqueria Xochi to offer Birria Pupusas that will only be available at El Tamarindo on National Pupusa Day.

El Tamarindo will donate 10% of proceeds (12PM-4PM) from National Pupusa Day to the Migrant Solidarity Mutual Aid Network. The Migrant Solidarity Mutual Aid Network will distribute collected winter items to newly bused-in immigrant families and will use donated funds to purchase additional items to meet some of the families’ needs. Hope For Wellness will also be on site collecting new or gently used (clean, excellent condition) winter items of all sizes such as coats, gloves, scarves, sweaters, hats, sneakers, boots for these families. New, unopened toys are also welcomed!”
