From the Humane Rescue Alliance:

“The Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA) is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of those involved in a tragic case of alleged animal cruelty.

On Thursday, Feb. 28, a man brought a female dog to HRA’s New York Avenue location with severe head wounds apparently inflicted by an ax or a similar sharp instrument. The dog’s injuries were so severe that humane euthanasia was unavoidable. The dog, who appears to be an adult Bullmastiff (two years or older) and is estimated to be 80-100 pounds, was found in SE near the Southern Ave. Metro station. (more…)

A bystander right next to them – like 6 feet from the shooting – got terrified and had a meltdown – called the cops who are in scene now.”
