From an email:

“We’re producing a comedy show every other Sunday at 6pm at Reliable Tavern. It’s called Long Story Short and the idea is to give the city’s local comics the opportunity and audience to work on developing their comedic story telling skill. It’s a different set of muscles from just telling jokes and we don’t have a show in town that encourages it.”

From this Sunday’s Eventbrite:

“Long Story Short is the Sunday comedy show you’ve been waiting for and it’s at Reliable Tavern so you don’t even need to leave the neighborhood and you can be back at home by dinner. (more…)

From a press release:

“The newly reopened Rosewood Washington D.C. unveils an evolved version of Wolfgang Puck’s CUT, the refined steak restaurant by the celebrated master chef, and rooftop lounge, CUT Above, offering sweeping views of the city. Located in the heart of Georgetown, CUT D.C. is reflective of the culinary diversity of the Mid-Atlantic region and the historic charm of the neighborhood.

“I want this CUT to be different, one that is true to its location,” said Wolfgang Puck. “It’s important to me that CUT D.C. has its own soul that reflects just how unique the Mid-Atlantic is and how diners want to eat now. While guests will still be able to order the signature steaks they have come to love at CUT, we want to showcase the bounty of the region and create a menu that encourages sharing.”

From the Neighborhood Restaurant Group:

“Shelter will be one of two bars in the 12,500 SF space (the other, of course, being Show of Hands). It will have many of the key design elements that one would expect from a Greg Engert beer bar: a large number of taps (50 to be exact), a temperature-controlled system, rigorous line cleaning, and extensive glassware – all important elements that ensure the beers we’re serving taste exactly as they would if the guest were to enjoy them at the brewery from which they came. With near frenetic-rotation, Greg plans to pour close to 1,000 different beers annually on draft. (more…)
