Baan Mae (1604 7th Street, NW) just opened up in the old Hanumanh space. It’s owned by the same people behind Thip Khao and the idea is to serve the kind of food you’d find in your Laotian mom’s kitchen. On Saturday, June 8, from 10 am – 2 pm, just outside our storefront (7014-A Westmoreland Ave, Takoma Park MD), we will host 18 excellent authors from our community. Come rain or shine, these writers, whose work ranges from picture books and poetry to novels and nonfiction, will table to the public, discussing, selling, sharing, and signing their books for all.
