“Come immerse yourself in holiday cheer as the popular annual holiday display “Season’s Greenings” returns to the U.S. Botanic Garden (USBG) from Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28, 2024, through Jan. 5, 2025, closed on Dec. 25. Each day – and on several evenings in December – multiple model trains will run in the gated outdoor gardens and the Conservatory will feature botanical wreaths and holiday decor, thousands of poinsettias, and iconic D.C. landmarks made from plant parts. “In September 2024, we announced the sale of Source, our multidisciplinary black box theatre in the 14th Street Corridor, due to Covid-related financial shortfalls. Similar to other performing arts organizations in the District, CulturalDC has faced a substantial reduction in income and contributions – both private and public – which has threatened the economic sustainability of Source. Since the pandemic, we have been impacted by increased vacancy and cancellations at Source as occupants have shifted programming, taking advantage of non-traditional spaces leased at low and little to no cost. As direct funding for operations has decreased, we have encountered fiscal difficulty while still staying dedicated to upkeeping the property. (more…)

Well, USPS has opened the newly located post office in Dupont on Conn Ave, BUT it’s still called “Temple Heights,” just like at its former location, which isn’t an actual neighborhood in DC. Google that and you’ll see your own article. Why it’s not called Dupont Circle is laughable. (more…)
