From WMATA:

The ongoing effort to rebuild and upgrade the Metrorail system to provide safer and more reliable service will continue over Columbus Day weekend, October 5-8, 2012, on the Red and Orange lines. The work will begin at 10 p.m. Friday and continue through system closing on Monday.

There is no scheduled track work this weekend on the Blue, Yellow or Green lines.

Red Line trains will single track between Judiciary Square and Fort Totten to allow for track maintenance, tie and fastener renewal, and platform reconstruction. As a result, trains between Grosvenor and Shady Grove will operate every 26 minutes throughout the weekend. Between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, additional trains will operate between Shady Grove and Judiciary Square only, resulting in service about every 13 minutes between those stations. Customers traveling on the eastern leg of the Red Line should allow about 20 minutes of additional travel time; customers on the western leg and downtown should allow about 10 minutes of additional travel time.

Orange Line trains will single track between Stadium-Armory and Cheverly to allow for track maintenance and station rehabilitation. During daytime hours on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, every other Orange Line train from Vienna will terminate at Stadium-Armory and return to Vienna. As a result, customers traveling to/from stations east of Stadium-Armory should allow about 15 minutes of additional travel time. Between Vienna and Stadium-Armory, trains will operate at normal weekend intervals.

For many remote workers, a messy home is distracting.

You’re getting pulled into meetings, and your unread emails keep ticking up. But you can’t focus because pet hair tumbleweeds keep floating across the floor, your desk has a fine layer of dust and you keep your video off in meetings so no one sees the chaos behind you.

It’s no secret a dirty home is distracting and even adds stress to your life. And who has the energy to clean after work? That’s why it’s smart to enlist the help of professionals, like Well-Paid Maids.
