Dang this is a great one. It’s located on the side of rowhouse on Meridian west of 14th Street. Nicely done! More photos after the jump.

  • yeah for Aniekan! his work is dope!

  • Defacing private property is quite uncivilized. However, we can all look forward to the day that gentrification rids us of such things.

This is not defacing public property, it was sponsored by the DC arts commission presumably with the agreement of the rowhome owner.

  • PoP –
I am pretty naive about this stuff…but….do the artists get approval from the owners of these buildings to create these murals?? Clearly, from Darkside’s perspective, it seems that they don’t. However, I would imagine that mural would take quite some time to complete – and without premission, there’s no way they’d complete such a large painting without getting the cops called on them. What’s the deal?

  • Ahh…seems as if you’ve answered my question during the time it took me to write it and refresh my page….thanks!!

Certain murals like this one are part of a DC program. You’ll see a disclaimer at the corner of these murals (I’ll post a picture of an example tomorrow).

  • Uhhh, I was kidding folks.

  • I wish I knew where this was! can you provide the addresses of the murals you find?
