“DC Vegan Taps Former Executive Chef of Fancy Radish David Aaron Gravenmier”

“Alaskan born, New Jersey and Philly bred Chef, David Aaron Gravenmier has signed on as the new Executive Chef at DC Vegan, effective immediately.

Chef David brings over 10 years of vegan restaurant experience as the former Sous Chef at Philadelphia’s wildly popular Vedge restaurant and Executive Chef at DC based vegan fan favorite, Fancy Radish.

Chef David will be expanding on DC Vegan’s Italian-American ‘vegetable-forward’ menu offerings as well as rolling out a special NYE prix fixe menu featuring inventive dishes like Carrot Osso Bucco and House-made Gnocchi. (more…)

I wanted to shout out a new little mom and pop place in Shaw named Earth Grocery. The store is replacing DC Shawarma. It’s is a new mini grocery store, owned by a sweet family who just moved into the area.
