Rough news from Rose Ave (2633 Connecticut Ave, NW):
“As you know, Rosebuds, we were extremely excited about reopening today to serve you all. However, when our bakers arrived at 2AM this morning – our bakery has, yet again, been flooded. “Dear PoPville,
I live near 17th St NW and Kalorama Rd and wanted to share an incident from this afternoon.
Around 1:00 p.m. today (January 27, 2026), an 18-wheeler making a delivery to the Harris Teeter at 17th St and Kalorama Rd attempted to pull out of the loading dock heading northbound on 17th St. The truck quickly became stuck and began spinning its wheels on the ice. Several Harris Teeter employees, a neighbor, and I spent about an hour (more…)
