Well happy Friday to us all after all!! I’m told that the Popal Group (owners of fellow Adams Morgan hot spots Lapis and the recently opened – Maison Bar à Vin) bought the building most recently home to The Jerk Pit (et al). Word on the street is that they plan to put The Berliner there. (more…)

Update: “Definitely the foo fighters. They posted it online minutes ago. People who are in line can get 2 tickets and no more, but there is confusion about if the second person needs to be physically present. Must be here in person, numbered wristbands are being handed out. At 6:30, numbers will determine who gets opportunity to buy tickets for $30 but that is when you have to enter the venue.” (more…)



Coming to the former Up ‘n Smoke space at 2503 Champlain Street, NW next to Tiny Vinyl

Ending the day on a STRONG note with some spectacular scuttlebutt!!

I hear that Call Your Mother is coming to the former Up ‘n Smoke space on Champlain Street just off Columbia near the Line Hotel. I have this info from a very solid source so will put the accuracy rating of this scuttlebutt at 97% likely. Am trying to get official confirmation and will update as soon as I get it.

In the meantime a big week of Call Your Mother news continues. Standby.

According to folks at The Passenger in Shaw, this weekend was them + Qui Qui’s (“Bringing the Authentic flavors of Puerto Rico to the Nation’s Capital.“) last night because someone bought out the building 😭 the new owners want to turn it into a tavern but nobody has been told anything. We’re devastated 😭”
