“Dear PoPville,
With the weather hopefully about to cool down, I was wondering if you could put out a call for all the best restaurants in DC that do soup really well. If there’s any places that soup is the main fare would even be better.”
Hopefully Fainting Goat returns with their masterpiece, “NO SOUP FOR YOU” soon. Personally I love the French Onion soup at Chez Billy Sud. Where are your favorite soups at?

“Dear PoPville,

When we spoke about Al’s earlier this week, Jordan proclaimed: “Al’s had the best calzone in DC. Fight me”
Right or wrong, as Al’s is sadly no more – where’s the best Calzone in DC these days?

“Dear PoPville,
I was in Philly recently and had my fist Cheesesteak at a hole in the wall on Market St near Ben Franklin Bridge. Loved it! Can you help me get up to date info on where to go? I tried the much ballyhooed Ghostburger with cheese sauce and onions and found it food but very salty so looking for alternstives.”

“Dear PoPville,
Hi! I’m craving potato skins and wondering if people have any recs on where the best place to get them is in DC? Thanks!!”
RIP TGIF, where’s the go to these days?

“Dear PoPville,
What are some of your favorite spots to meet a professional contact for happy hour? My dream spot has a good patio, isn’t super loud, and isn’t prohibitively expensive (like a notch or two down from Quill or POV).
I’m also trying to figure out the etiquette of picking a location for a drink after work. (more…)
