“On Sunday, April 2, 2023, the Cherry Blossom 10 Mile Run will take place in the District of the Columbia. In conjunction with this event, there will be street closures that motorists should take into consideration:

The following streets will be closed by the Metropolitan Police Department to vehicle traffic on Sunday, April 2, 2023 from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.:

1200 block of Maine Avenue, SW
Maine Avenue from I-395 Westbound to Independence Avenue, SW
9th Street Tunnel ramp to Maine Avenue, SW”

A reader found an iPhone this morning and there was a disturbing warning/response:

“Be careful. I did this once and then had my front door kicked in with men raiding my home looking for the iPhone.

This was in 2017. I found it outside a bar at closing time it was like 3am, me and my roommates took the phone with us that night and somehow we were texting with a friend of the owner. No texts the following day and then around 10pm our front door was kicked in and the phone was taken. I think it was just the phone and my roommates Xanax that they took but it was scary nonetheless. “Dear PoPville,

This woman ignored the fence and NO DOG signs placed every few feet around the perimeter of a landscaped area and took a leisurely stroll inside so her pet could do its business. When I pointed out it was defecating RIGHT NEXT to a sign, she told me The Law doesn’t require her to comply. (more…)
