“Announcing our second corpse flower (Amorphophallus titanum) bloom of 2024. This six-year-old plant blooming for the first time is a result from our hand-pollination using two of our blooms in 2017. Currently standing at 6’9”, we estimate it might open in peak bloom May 8.”

“The vibrant blocks on 14th Street from Spring Rd to Shepherd St, known as “Little Mexico” due to their high concentration of Mexican restaurants, are preparing for a weekend of Cinco de Mayo celebrations from May 4-5. “Dulles International Airport will hold its triennial full-scale emergency drill on April 27 in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration regulations.
