A reader found an iPhone this morning and there was a disturbing warning/response:
“Be careful. I did this once and then had my front door kicked in with men raiding my home looking for the iPhone.
This was in 2017. I found it outside a bar at closing time it was like 3am, me and my roommates took the phone with us that night and somehow we were texting with a friend of the owner. No texts the following day and then around 10pm our front door was kicked in and the phone was taken. I think it was just the phone and my roommates Xanax that they took but it was scary nonetheless. “On Saturday, March 18, 2023, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon and 5K will take place in the District of Columbia. In conjunction with this event, there will be parking restrictions and street closures that motorists should take into consideration.
When safe to do so, the Metropolitan Police Department will assist motorists in crossing the race route to help relieve traffic congestion due to the extended closures. However, motorists should not rely on crossing the route and should plan on going around the traffic closures.
