“Metro service information for Juneteenth holiday and Pride weekend, June 19-21”

From WMATA:

“This weekend will include several bus and rail changes due to the Juneteenth holiday on Friday, June 19, and the Capital Pride Parade on Saturday, June 20. Additionally, service changes for nearly 50 bus routes across D.C., Maryland, and Virginia will go into effect Sunday, June 21.

The previously scheduled track work for June 19-21 for the Crystal City second entrance construction has been cancelled since the planned work was completed early.

“As suspected, Dupont Circle *WILL BE CLOSED* this weekend. IDK what legit “health and safety” concerns would occur this weekend that couldn’t occur any other days. (Actually, like last year, someone ordered it closed as a middle finger to gays.)”

“Notice to the Public. Temporary Closure of Dupont Circle

Pursuant to 36 C.F.R. § 1.5, and effective beginning Friday, June 19, 2026, until Monday, June 22, 2026, the National Park Service, at the request of the United States Park Police, is imposing a temporary closure of Dupont Circle and its turf panels, and sidewalks as illustrated in the attached map and as further delineated by fencing.
