Thanks to a reader for sending word. Obviously My Way has some sorta New York connection but anyone hear any other details?
A peek in the window reveals buildout has started but they still have a ways to go:

“Dear PoPville,
I went to get lunch at Newton’s Noodles today and they were closed during prime lunch hours without any activity inside or a sign on the door. I am bummed because I love this place. Any idea about what’s going on? It reads like the signs of a business closing to me.”
Newton’s Noodles opened with much fanfare back in October 2013. In response to a query on their facebook page, Newton’s Noodles wrote on November 17th:
“We are moving to a new location. A little smaller of a space that supports both a lunch and dinner business. More info to come shortly.”
Stay tuned.

Last week we learned Which Wich Superior Sandwiches was coming to Vermont Ave just north of K Street in addition to 1800 E Street, NW. A rep from Which Wich writes with a brief update:
“The Vermont Ave location will be opening hopefully December 15, and the second location at 1800 E Street NW will be opening a few days later.”

“Sad news–Port of PIraeus closed their 21st Street location last December and now the one at 13th & I is closed as well. This was my favorite lunch spot! I’m surprised because they seemed to do a pretty darn good business.”
Were there any other fans? Updates when we learn who takes over the space.

Lighter Asian restaurant is located at 1400 I Street NW by McPherson Square. I was most intrigued by the signs – what is Bulgogi?:

And what is Bibim Bap?:

Any fans out there?

This spot just opened up a couple of months ago at 3413 Georgia Ave. NW. It’s seems like the type of place where you will get some seriously legit kabobs. I mean it is called The House of Kabob and all…
If anyone’s checked it out let me know what you thought of the food.
