“The suspect brandished a machete and threatened to stab the victim” 13 Year Later Old Arrested

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Third District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Machete) offense that occurred on Saturday, June 12, 2021, in the 500 block of Florida Avenue, Northwest.

At approximately 3:00 pm, the suspect approached the victim at the listed location. The suspect brandished a machete and threatened to stab the victim. The suspect then made derogatory comments towards the victim and fled the scene. No injuries were reported.

On Sunday, June 13, 2021, a 13 year-old juvenile male, of Northwest, DC, was arrested and charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Machete). (more…)

Stephen writes: “I walked past Uproar Lounge earlier and the sign was down and paper was over the window. I hope this isn’t what I think it is!”

Their twitter is still live but hasn’t been updated in a while, their website is still live and their Facebook indicates they were doing take out as recently as Friday. Anyone know if they are still doing take out?

I’m only a week late but better late than never (thanks to all who messaged!) Mark Lee broke the news on his Facebook:

“DC ABC Board approves licensing for gay nightclub Town to re-open at new location in a former church building at the corner of North Capitol and K Streets, rejecting ANC and protest group objections. Board grants extended operating hours (5AM Fri-Sat, 4AM Sun-Thurs) but limits use of outdoor space until 2AM.”

Town Danceboutique closed after 10 years in Shaw in 2018. Updates as 2.0 gets closer to opening.
