When we posted about the Chipotle closing in Dupont, a couple readers responded:
“Looks like the one in Chinatown is closed too. Not sure if it’s permanent or not.”
“Chipotle in Gallery Place is now closed down from what I’m hearing”
The Gallery Place/Chinatown location is still listed on their website but closed all days. Ed. Note: Gotta give respect for keeping the name Chiptole MCI – some old school respect!! Updates as we learn more.

Farmbird opened their first location on H Street, NE back in 2017.
Hours for Penn Quarter will be “Every day 11:00 am – 10:00 pm.”

Thanks to Tony for sending word: “Sad news for DuPont area residents….. Chipotle north of the circle on Connecticut Ave is gone. Went up to Woodley park location, and they confirmed the closure and said they are relocating somewhere near M street.”

They previously had a restaurant in Dupont Circle, but it closed in 2019. So excited to see a new location pop up. No word on when that will be though.” (more…)

Thanks to Emily for sending: ” the Taco Bell/KFC at the intersection of New York Ave and Bladensburg in NE appears to have permanently closed. I noticed fencing up around it while driving by and Google indicates it’s permanently closed. I didn’t find any info on why it closed though.” (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
Did the Burger King on Connecticut Avenue finally close? It’s disappeared from GrubHub/DoorDash and the website says “closed” for every day of the week now.”
Not sure what’s going on with the websites but every time I walk by the Burger King has been open for take out and drive thru. STAY TUNED.
