Climax closed after a major fire back in July 2016. A liquor license placard for Lucy Bar and Restaurant says:

“A New Class “C” Ethiopian restaurant, serving fresh vegetarian food. The restaurant will have 89 indoor seats and interior occupancy of 104. The licensee is requesting a 24 seat Summer Garden. Total Occupancy Load of 128. The Licensee is also requesting an Entertainment Endorsement to include Live Entertainment, both indoors and outdoors, as well as a Cover Charge, and Dancing.”

STAY TUNED.

Chief Ike’s closed after 25 years in March 2015.

The liquor license placard says:

“Infusion Club and Restaurant

A new Tavern serving Ethiopian cuisine. Seating capacity of 350 inside. Total Occupancy Load of 600. Sidewalk Cafe with 30 seats. Requesting an Entertainment Endorsement, with Dancing and Cover Charge.”

Based on the size, I wonder if this will also be taking the adjacent space that was set to become, with coming soon signage still up, Villa Tuscana.

Infusion will join other recent Ethiopian arrivals to Adams Morgan – Zenebech Injera, Quara, Ababa, and Asmara, not to mention Adams Morgan Cafe.

Updates as Infusion gets closer to opening.
