Keren Restaurant was the scene of a terrible DUI car crash that killed SAIS student Julia Bachleitner back in 2010.
DC Fire and EMS reported:
“Update: Working Fire – 1700 Block of Florida Avenue NW – Fire was concentrated to front wall behind signage, along roof line. All fire is extinguished. Smoke extended to adjacent commercial establishment. Units beginning to proceed to firefighter decontamination/rehabilitation.”
Final Update: Working Fire – 1700 Block of Florida Avenue NW – No injuries to report. Fire Investigations Unit on scene working to determine cause and origin. Units returning in service shortly.”
