“Dear PoPville,

“Coffee Nature is a local coffee shop in Tenleytown/Friendship Heights. It’s owned by Joseph Oh and his family, and is truly a staple of the community. Joseph’s dream when moving to America was to start his own business, and he has certainly succeeded — transforming this space into a home away from home for many customers, with (pre-COVID) open mic nights, art displays, and seriously impressive latte art (and coffee quality!).

“As DC heads into prime picnic season, The Fainting Goat from the Blagden Hospitality Group (Tiger Fork, Calico, Hei Hei Tiger, Hi-Lawn) launched a new gourmet picnic delivery pop-up – “Picnics at Logan Circle”. Located just a few blocks away at 13th & U Streets NW, the Goat staff will be riding around on its new blue delivery bicycle, passing out QR code menus and dropping off gourmet picnics to park revelers.

“Dear PoPville,

My work-from-home arrangement from COVID will be continuing indefinitely, and I’d love to volunteer as a foster dog parent in DC, however I have a fairly small studio apartment and I’m not sure if I’d qualify. Have other readers in studios been successful in becoming a foster dog parent in DC? And if so, which organizations are recommended?”
