Trisha reported Saturday afternoon:
“Good thing the fire truck was already on the street when this happened!
Yuma St NW, across from the UDC athletic building. The car was actually trying to pass the fire truck when it started to smoke. The truck wisely pulled forward.”

Thanks to all who tweeted @PoPville.

A reader reports:
“two cars caught on fire on the 1100 block of 6th Street NW this morning sometime after 8am.
911 was called at 8:20am and the fire department arrived two minutes later. By the time I left my house at 8:35, the fire was completely put out and I would have been none the wiser if I hadn’t seen it leaving my house.
Thanks DC Fire and other emergency responders for saving the neighborhood!
Anyone else see anything?”

Thanks to Trey for sending around 10:30am. Fire is at North Cap and Harewood.

“Dear PoPville,
This car was sitting at the corner of 20th and I St. NW for two days. What gives?? Wisconsin plates, completely gutted, it doesn’t seem like anyone is fazed…”
