Thanks to Kristen for sending: “What the hell is this!? Seen in Logan circle park this afternoon.”

Paging the local entomologists, again. I’m guessing the Polyphemus moth caterpillar but please correct me if I’m wrong, which is a significant possibility as my expertise is actually in ichthyology.

If you spot a hawk, any interesting wildlife or celebrity skateboarder Tony Hawk, and get a good photo please send in an email where you spotted them to [email protected]. Thanks! Hawks around Town is made possible by a generous grant from the Ben and Sylvia Gardner foundation.

“Dear PoPville,

I am a resident here (flats 130 in NoMa), and posters have gone up everywhere since our building made an announcement (I’ve seen three different ones since last night) – our building is trying to tell us we can no longer have our packages delivered to our actual physical address. they have to be delivered to a “fetch address” which is a warehouse, and then you schedule a delivery time. Not what OP saw but a super cool photo by billyhoag1

“Dear PoPville,

I was wondering if you have gotten any reports of 5 orange round shaped “lights” moving pretty low in a straight formation above the NW DC area. They aligned side by side and then vanished. I was with 4 girls on my friends rooftop and me and another girls saw the lights as well. We were on a roof top on Westminster looking over to the Shay building when we saw this.”
