On Wednesday, September 28, at 3:50 pm I was riding a scooter and hit by a car at the intersection of Mass Ave and 21st street, nw. I was thrown 20 feet and became unconscious. I was transported to the ER in an ambulance and don’t remember the accident. (more…)

Wondering if anyone has any information on what sounds like car alarms on electric scooters. Around 14th and U they are constant, and last for varying amounts of time. Is it a specific brand of scooter? What sets off the alarms? Does anyone know how to shut them off? Any information is appreciated! Thanks!”

SPIN scooters have been piling up in front of our building all week. They’re locked to the signs, they’re locked all along our fence. Their weird alarms go off at all hours. I tried submitting a photo to SPIN customer service asking for them to be re-distributed but so far no response. (more…)

Over the weekend my husband was doing some yard work and he saw a hipster kid (young adult) on a scooter stopped in front of our house. He opened his backpack pulled out a ketchup bottle and started spraying our neighbor’s car with what looked like watered-down ketchup. My husband yelled at the person and he wasn’t scared off until my husband started approaching him. This all happened in broad daylight.
My neighbor has lived in Trinidad for 70 years and runs a hauling business. (more…)
