Bryan reported: “At the intersection of 6th and Rhode Island NW, a guy got into a pretty bad crash and west bound Rhode Island was mostly closed for a bit. You can see the first accident in the background (grey/gold car to the left). But someone couldn’t help rubbernecking while coming north on 6th and wrecked into a city bus and it looks like another car ran into that car. (more…)

G writes us: “DCA line this Morning, out the door for terminal A. if you have a flight coming up soon, come very early.”

On Wednesday we got a DCA PSA about long security lines at the airport. Update: They’re apparently getting longer. So keep in mind as we get closer to Thanksgiving travel (we did a poll showing almost 60% of respondents would be traveling this year, obviously not all by air but still.)

Martha writes us earlier this morning: “Advice to holiday revelers, traveling through DCA: allow yourself extra time. There’s quite a bit of construction here and the security lines are longer than I thought they’d be at this early hour! Pre-check was faster – but still more people than I thought would be in line at 5:30 a.m.!”

Incidentally – are many folks headed out of town this year? If so, when are you leaving? Coming back? Safe travels to all who are!

Sara writes: “On Friday night my catalytic converter was stolen from my Prius parked near 16 and U. I know this is a thing but wondering if it is happening to others in the area? Are people protecting their converters? Thanks!”

Unfortunately we got a report about this happening in February and again in September. One reader suggests anyone with a Prius “go buy a shield right now.”

Metro reports: “Yellow Line Delay: Expect delays to Huntington due to a disabled train at Columbia Heights.”

“UPDATED: Yellow Line Delay: Expect residual delays to Huntington due to an earlier train malfunction at Columbia Heights.”
