I’m guessing it’s similar to that guy’s from Vermont.
Taking sticker art/graffiti to a whole new level. Or, possibly, taking love of succulents to a whole new level. From Cathedral Heights.

“UPDATE TO ADVISORY:
Pony Pop Up on 14th Street!
Horse-Around Sunday with Constellation Theatre’s Pony Pop Up
In promotion of the upcoming performance of Equus
Sunday, January 17, 2016
UPDATE: Big D’s Pony Rides will be replacing Peppermint Pony as the pony vendor. They will be bringing 2 ponies instead of a pony and a miniature horse. In addition, their sister company, Dream Shire Carriage, coincidentally will be offering carriage rides starting at 12:30pm in front of the Williard Hotel, so make it a horse-themed day.
The Pony Pop Up, happening on the sidewalk in front of the 1835 14th Street, NW, will take place between 12pm and 3pm.

“Dear PoPville,
My faith in Metro riders was restored this morning. I was at Metro Center, getting of a Red line train at about 11am. I gathered up my backpack, gloves, phone, and got off the train. I heard a young woman yell “Ma’am, ma’m” and I looked around to see a rider on the car where I was sitting waving at me. As the car doors began to close, she threw my hat to me, which I had left on the train. I waved at her through the car window as the train started to pull out.
I really like that hat. Thank you fellow passenger, whoever you are.”

Thanks to reader for sending this ridiculousness from Shaw. Warning don’t click ‘more’ if you don’t want a spoiler for the new Star Wars movie. (more…)
“Dear PoPville,
A low priority, but I wonder why these two buildings around 1111 V St. NW are hidden in Google Maps?”
Hmm, normally they do this for some embassies and government buildings but this seems like such a random location. Any guesses? Top secret locations for the next monster pop ups?

Perhaps a “city car” may be a better purchase next time… Good grief. A reader sends from Brightwood Park. Well, lemons into lemonade – please enjoy some Mustang Sally:

15th and U Street, NW
Not that I’m complaining.
