“Dear PoPville,
On Saturday around 2:30 pm you were crossing the street from Logan circle to P st heading west. You had what I believe to have been walking a corgi or corgi mix. I was biking through the circle and came way too close to you and your poor dog. You had to hold them back for a moment. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
My work-from-home arrangement from COVID will be continuing indefinitely, and I’d love to volunteer as a foster dog parent in DC, however I have a fairly small studio apartment and I’m not sure if I’d qualify. Have other readers in studios been successful in becoming a foster dog parent in DC? And if so, which organizations are recommended?”

“Dear PoPville,

Our puppy Lucy knocked over an easel which terrified her which caused her to bolt and slip out of her harness. Before our eyes Lucy was sprinting up upshur street. The entire community of people out around 7:15pm shouted, stopped cars, and unquestionably saved Lucy from a very terrible incident. (more…)

“Dear PoPville,
Monday, March 1, I jumped into the Potomac River to save my dog Enzo, who had chased some geese and didn’t stop at the edge (he may not have seen it well, as he has only one eye). My nephew and I were walking him and we were on the grassy stretch near the Kennedy Center, where the river’s walls are steep and high and I couldn’t find anywhere nearby to direct my dog to take refuge or where I could clamber down to get him. I was in a panic. (more…)
