Been getting a bunch of emails about this good looker:

“Parakeet spotted in the alley between Belmont and Chapin Street NW. It also brought along a sweet rainbow. Did anyone lose a pet? I saw it yesterday and again today.”

“Dear PoPville,

Tonight (Friday) around 7:15 my fiancé and I went to go grab a bite at cinder bbq (8th and Upshur St, NW.) Our puppy Lucy knocked over an easel which terrified her which caused her to bolt and slip out of her harness. Before our eyes Lucy was sprinting up upshur street. “Dear PoPville,

Monday, March 1, I jumped into the Potomac River to save my dog Enzo, who had chased some geese and didn’t stop at the edge (he may not have seen it well, as he has only one eye). My nephew and I were walking him and we were on the grassy stretch near the Kennedy Center, where the river’s walls are steep and high and I couldn’t find anywhere nearby to direct my dog to take refuge or where I could clamber down to get him. Thanks to Lisa for sharing yesterday:

“This is peak dog owner shaming and I applaud it! This note and big bag of poop was left at the front door of my condo bldg today by an angry rowhouse neighbor. To all dog owners – Be kind & be responsible!”

9th and T Street, NW

Thanks to Kristin for sending earlier this afternoon: “FYI- dogs are being electrocuted by a pepco manhole on 9th and T St. Please avoid walking over manholes with your dogs during these snowy/icy/salty conditions. Last night, a dog was shocked while walking on it and was in an almost paralyzed state for a few minutes. We put a sign over it and called 311. Firefighters are here now roping off the area.”
