11th and Park Road, NW
“Dear PoPville,
We were just at the Columbia Heights dog park (Sunday) and, soon after we arrived, a larger pounced on our terrier, Peanut, and they got into a little scuffle (fortunately he’s okay, just a little nick on his nose!). Talk about terrifying, though, and, once we managed to get the two dogs apart, we just kind of stood there stupefied.
At that moment, though, as if some kind of angel (it was that well timed & fortuitous), a woman seemed to just appear next to us, out of the blue, offering to have a look at Peanut to make sure he was ok and offering soothing words to help ease our own nerves. It turned around a horrifying and shocking experience — she really made everything okay, and just wanted to send her love!”
