A reader and MPD reported 11:15pm Tuesday night:
“Shooting //800 blk of Kennedy Street, NW //No lookout”

Update from MPD:
“On Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at approximately 10:50PM, MPD units responded to investigate a call for the sounds of gunshots in the area of the 700 block of Kennedy Street, NW. Upon arrival, units observed multiple shell casings in the street and located (1) victim who appeared to be suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the lower left leg. The victim was conscious and breathing and transported to an area hospital for treatment. (more…)

“My friend texted me from inside Roosevelt HS (where he was working) 30 mins ago that the school was on lockdown because a shot was fired outside the school. Apparently now they are outside after police arrived. Anyone else know more info?”

“It’s a 2018 Seagrave Capitol Cab. The cab was designed specially for, and by the DCFD. It has a Cummins diesel big block with an Allison transmission. It carries 500 gallons of water and a 1500 gallons per minute Waterous pump. Our old 2006 Seagrave Marauder will go into the reserve fleet, so you may see our Petworth decals around the city with a different Engine number on it. Photos by various 24 Engine Company members. Here’s who’s coming to the former Walters near Looking Glass and DC Reynolds on Georgia Ave just south of the Petworth metro.
The liquor license placard for Marrakech says:
“New Class “C” Tavern specializing in Moroccan cuisine with 62 seats inside and a 20 seat Summer Garden, for a total of 82 seats and a Total Occupancy of 100. The licensee is requesting an Entertainment Endorsement to include Live Entertainment, Dancing, and Cover Charge.”
Anyone know if this is the same folks who used to be on P Street in Dupont?
