“Fifth District Detectives are seeking information regarding a shooting that occurred this evening in the rear alley of the 600 block of K Street, NE. At approximately 7:00 pm, Fifth District officers were dispatched to a possible shooting in the 900 block of 6th Street, NE. “On October 20, 2019, Spot of Tea will host a grand opening celebration of their first permanent location. After three years as a staple of the DC farmers market circuit, the local tea company has found its first year-round home inside the Streets Market located at 51 M St NE in NoMa. The grand opening celebration begins at 11 a.m. with one free drink for each of the first 50 customers, followed by a buy one get one free drink promotion for the rest of the day. S writes: “They’re demo-ing an old warehouse in NoMa right by the metro. lots of dust and contaminants in the air on my morning walk this am. Can we get an asbestos report?? The structure is super old and you can see two different insulations are used.”
