“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fifth District seek the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in reference to a Theft One offense that occurred on Monday, September 21, 2020, in the Unit block of N Street, Northeast.

At approximately 4:45 pm, the suspect approached the victim as she unloaded her car at the listed location. The victim placed the dog carrier down on the sidewalk. The suspect took the dog carrier and fled the scene. (more…)

“Metropolitan Police Department, US Capitol Police, and Amtrak Police officers and detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred at Union Station. The victim has been transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries and a suspect has been stopped. There are closures in the bus deck area and bus travelers may be delayed.
