“Dear PoPville,
Last week, someone apparently came by our tree box, wrestled this tree out of its metal pot, ran off with the pot, and left the tree behind!
The pot wasn’t valuable or fancy or anything, I picked it up for $5 at a thrift sale, but it was big and unwieldy and would have been dirty.
The tree was potbound and would have taken some serious work to dislodge. We’ve kept it alive for five years now — we bring it inside every Christmas, string lights on it, and then take it back out for the rest of the year.”
