ANC 6C06 Rep Patricia Eguino writes: “This shooting happened literally right outside my apartment. There are bullet casings on the ground. To my constituents in #6C06: if you are near the area of 3rd and I St NE and 3rd and K St NE – Please go back inside or avoid the area entirely!”

MPD reported at 6:53pm: “Alert: Shooting Investigation in the 300 block of I St NE. Lookout is for a 2018 black Audi. DO NOT TAKE ACTION CALL 911 W/ EVENT # I20230105680″

“Van Leeuwen Ice Cream, the cult favorite brand known for its made-from-scratch dairy and vegan flavors, today announces its expansion to the Washington, D.C. market.

Readers report around 4pm: “Heard 5-6 gunshots outside of Union market”

“Shooting at Union Market about 10 minutes ago. 6-7 shots fired.”
