Upon arrival, officers met with an adult male complainant who stated that he had just been chased by an individual, and shot at. “I heard the shots. A clear 5 shots. Victim was hit across North Cap from The Pub and the People. Ambulance was on the scene quickly and the victim was conscious.”

“Earlier today members of the 5th District responded to several calls for sounds of gunshots in the Unit Block of R St NE. Officers recovered 5 cartridges casings during a canvass of the area. No victims or damaged property were located. Anyone with any information regarding this matter are urged to contact MPD at 202-727-9099 or via text at 50411.”

“Earlier today 5D officers responded to a call for a stabbing at 1501 North Capitol St NE. Responding units located an adult male suffering from a stab wound to the lower right abdomen. V1 was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. This case is currently being investigated by Fifth District Detectives. Anyone with information regarding this offense are urged to contact MPD at 202-727-9099 or text us at 50411.”

“Dear PoPville,

Sometime Saturday afternoon our house in Eckington was burglarized. An HP laptop, Acer aspire laptop, nikon d7100 camera and 2 lenses, plus iPad mini stolen. What’s most disturbing is that we were likely home when it happened- we batten down the hatches when leaving the house and there were no signs or evidence of a break in, just noticed that all my electronics in that room had vanished.
