Last week we reported about a fire at the former Big Hunt building in Dupont. [Ed. Note: If I told you how I was screamed at by someone, after I posted photo farewell to the Big Hunt, who swore to me that Big Hunt would be reopening. If only. If only…] At the time of the fire DC Fire and EMS wrote: “Building appears to be under renovation.” And now first I’m hearing of what could be coming. Whether you’re a long-standing member or just recently discovered our Club, we hope that our gym has helped you progress along your fitness journey. We have made the difficult decision to close our Dupont Circle location, however, we are excited to welcome you to our fully renovated Club opening soon at 1211 Connecticut Avenue. This is the first Club outside of the New York City area to carry the New York Sports Club brand. We like to say our Sports Club brand was born in New York, but upgraded for you, DC.

All of us at the bakery are proud that we are taking over the cafe inside the Phillips Collection. I have been a long time member at The Phillips and a long time resident of Dupont Circle.
