“Dear PoPville,

I wanted to share that there is activity going on at the former Z-burger in a Columbia Heights (closed here in August 2018.0 Any rumors on what this might be? Here’s to hoping not another bank or fast food.” (more…)

Jason reported: “Definitely like 15-20 shots with a second gun coming in before shooting stopped. Saw one man carried to an ambulance by his friends who seemed conscious. Took a lot longer to get the second victim on a gurney & into the ambulance. Looked like he was shot in the gut but conscious”

Gavino reported: “Heard what sounded like some 20 gunshots ring out before D.C. Police responded to a “shooting investigation” at 14th and Fairmont NW, a tweet of theirs said. Traffic and pedestrians unable to pass amid heavy police presence, including K-9 units” (more…)

“Dear PoPville,

What’s happening to Meridian Hill/Malcolm X Park? This beautiful and unique urban park has been largely closed for over a year. While the National park service is having repairs done to the lower plaza, the rest of the park is open but severely neglected. Walkways are crumbling, weeds are growing out of control. The fountain is again turned off and getting overgrown.”

“Dear PoPville,

The whole complex has chain link fencing around it and all of the first floor windows are boarded up.
People were living there just days before. Any clue what happened to these apartments?”
