Conflicting Reports on Ownership of Pho Viet on 11th but looks good!

11th and Fairmont Street, NW

In late July we posted about the new Pho Viet opening at 11th and Fairmont St, NW. It wasn’t clear if they were the same owners as on 14th (and the coming Bun DC opening August 25th) but Will updates us:

“I did ask them and it is the same owners. They confirmed that and told me they opened two weeks ago. It’s a small restaurant with two tables, some window seats and I believe one working in the kitchen. Had it the other day was really good.”

Rachel reports:

“We went to the new Pho Viet over on 11th for dinner. According to the young couple running it, it seems they are not actually of the same family as the other Pho Viet, Bun DC, etc.

My husband and I shared the shrimp spring rolls and each had the spicy lemongrass beef pho.

I have to say that we like the spicy lemongrass at the 14th Street Pho Viet better, but this location seems to have a great new place. It wasn’t packed, but there was a steady flow of patrons the whole time we were there, which is pretty good for a Wednesday evening.

They also kept all the old Market signage as well!”

Anyone else stop by for an early taste? How does it compare to the 14th Street location?
