“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s First District announce an arrest has been made in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Brick) offense that occurred on Sunday, December 19 2021, in the 600 block of E Street, Southeast.
At approximately 10:06 am, the suspect approached the victims, an adult male and a juvenile female, from behind at the listed location. The suspect then assaulted two of the victims with a brick. (more…)

“OFF-DUTY OFFICER’S SUV STOLEN DURING HOP-IN, SERVICE GUN INSIDE/ MANHUNT— Thief jumped in while the silver 2018 Equinox sat in Capitol Hill area. He rammed police car at 500 Fl Ave NW. He drove to 1300 V St NW where he abandoned the SUV on foot. GUN IS MISSING.”

Our outdoor security cam caught it and we were awake to get this video in real time (through a glass window). Looks like our outdoor lighting scared him a bit. Our cats are equally (or more) scared.”
