Update from MPD:

“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Fourth District seek the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a vehicle in reference to an Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Gun) offense that occurred on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, in the 3700 block of New Hampshire Avenue, Northwest.

At approximately 3:47 pm, members of the Fourth District responded to the listed location for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

From MPD: “On 9/8/22 at approximately 10:30pm, Fourth District Members responded to the 3600 block of 14th Street, NW for the report of a shooting. Upon arrival, members located an adult male victim who had been shot in the leg. He was conscious and breathing, and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. There is no lookout at this time.

“Dear PoPville,

Sunday morning I woke up at 630 am and saw that my car–parked off street in my driveway–had been stolen.

I promptly called 911 and notified the dispatcher that my car had been stolen. I gave her the VIN number, make and model of the car and she told me that police were en route to interview me.

I waited over two hours, with additional calls to 911, for the police to show up. (more…)
