“Stabbing Investigation in the 1400 block of T Street NW. Lookout for H/M, wearing white shirt and black jeans.”
Update from MPD: “Last night the Third District investigated a Domestic Violence related stabbing that took place in the 1400 block of T Street NW. The victim sustained non life threatening injuries.
The case was closed with the arrest of an adult male.”
From MPD:
“Early this morning, members of the Third District responded to the 1300 block of 12th St NW for the report of a stabbing. An adult female was transported to an area hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The Investigation is ongoing but we believe the incident is the result of robbery attempt.
Anyone with information is asked to call 202-727-9099.”

“This morning at approximately 0115 hours, an individual was walking towards their vehicle in the 1800 block of Burke Street SE when they were approached by an unknown suspect armed with a handgun. The suspect demanded the victim give up their vehicle, and when the victim refused the suspect fired one shot from the handgun, striking the victim in the arm. (more…)

A reader reports: “Morton Street is still blocked off from the shooting last night around 8pm. MPD I spoke to said that no one heard the shots (we were 300 feet away, outside and didn’t either).”
MPD reported around 9pm: “Alert: Shooting Investigation in the 700 block of Morton Street NW. No Lookout”
Update from MPD:
“Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Department’s Homicide Branch are investigating a homicide that occurred on Thursday, December 3, 2020, in the 700 block of Morton Street, Northwest.

I’m told they’ll be opening the sweet back patio the day after thanksgiving. Reservations will be available next week via resy. We received the first report at 10:09pm last night (Wednesday):
“Seriously, what’s with the explosion sounds (similar to a generator blowing) that we’ve heard several times in Fort Totten? The power has gone out several times again.”
“Same! We are without power near Fort Totten metro – two or three huge booms tonight. Same thing earlier this morning, but luckily power just flickered then.”
“The loud bangs are continuing. In the past the loud bangs came first, then we lost power. Tonight I only heard the bangs after we lost power. Intermittent sirens somewhere nearby.”
“It’s a transformer or some power line on 12th between Allison and Buchanen, it’s been exploding every couple days. Pepco was working on it earlier today after it happened, but just happened again minutes ago” (more…)

Curious if anyone has reached out about the fliers and signs in Park View about Bruce Monroe Community Park, in advance of the upcoming Comprehensive Plan Amendment hearing next week. Since the Court of Appeals case for Bruce Monroe did not go the way of the city, in the Comp Plan, it seems DC is now proposing the park change to a high density commercial zoning space. (more…)
